Contract Celebrates 30 Years of the Interiors Awards

2009 Designers of the Year: John Cary and John Peterson of Public Architecture in San Francisco.
With a féte at Cipriani's 42nd Street in New York, Contract
gathered more than 500 of the architecture and design industry's
best and brightest to celebrate the 30th Annual Interiors Awards.
Heralded alongside this year's category winners were 2009 Legend
Wing Chao of Walt Disney Imagineering and 2009 Designers of the
Year John Peterson and John Cary of Public Architecture.
Both established, well-known firms as well as emerging talent are
honored each year. Held since 1979, the Interiors Awards
competition recognizes outstanding commercial architecture and
interior design and is judged by a select group of respected
industry leaders. This year's judging panel included Cat Lindsay of
Lindsay Newman; 2008 Designer of the Year Philip G. Freelon of The
Freelon Group; Jennifer Luce of Luce Studio; and James Biber of
Pentagram Architects.
