Following a $6 million renovation of its 474 guest rooms and suites, as well as a revamping of it 25,000 sq.ft. event and meeting space, the Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills, located in San Fernando Valley, Calif., recently completed an enhancement of its outdoor pool and terrace area.

The new “Urban Oasis,” designed by Linda Snyder, president of El Sugundo, Calif.-based hospitality interior design company Linda Snyder Associates, boasts a 10,000 sq.-ft. social venue that features two cabanas, a bar, and an outdoor fire pit. All furniture on the terrace and in the pool area and bar are new, while the entire area is landscaped with Chinese elm trees.

“In terms of styling and color, we opted to keep the colors fresh and light to ensure an inviting feeling in the outdoor areas, with a nice balance of warm and cool colors,” says Kim Cartaino, assistant general manager of Warner Center Marriott.

The hotel also expanded its fitness center, which now touts all new cardiovascular equipment and weights, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the pool and terrace outside.
