Architect Sheila Gregg Establishes Sol Agua Terra
April 22, 2008
Architect Sheila Gregg has established a new architecture firm, sol
agua terra, specializing in sustainable design and green
building. "An architect's primary charge is to protect the
public’s health, safety and welfare. As such, sol agua terra
operates under the premise that it is our professional
responsibility to educate our clients about environmentally
responsible materials and methods and incorporate them into our
projects to the best of our ability," says Gregg.
The corporation's philosophy, "holistic architecture," emphasizes
the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts --
culture, environment, geography, economy, technology, spirituality,
time, wellbeing, and purpose -- as they relate to the built
environment. Gregg, a member of the American Institute of
Architects and a LEED Accredited Professional, reveals that
integration of cost-effective sustainable principles into today's
commercial and residential projects is readily achievable given
available technology, regulations and research.
Gregg, President, has over 10 years professional architecture
experience in the DC Metro area, Cali. and Nev. Her
pre-architecture experience includes over 15 years in real estate
finance and development and 10 years in hospitality.
