NELSON, an international design and consulting firm specializing in
interior design, architecture, strategic planning, engineering,
workplace services and information services, has announced the
addition of Martin Festenstein to its Chicago office where he will
serve as project director.
Kimball International has announced the appointment of Mona Hoffman
to the position of vice president of marketing for the company's
Kimball Office brand.
In the 12th annual Promosedia International Design Competition –
Caiazza Memorial Challenge, the first prize was awarded to Nube
Chair by Tomás Alonso. Alonso is one of the founders of OKAYstudio
in London. His creations, both personal and designed together with
the studio, have been displayed at major design exhibitions
throughout Europe.
Inscape Corporation in Holland Landing, Ontario, a designer,
manufacturer and distributor of high-performance workplace
solutions, has announced the appointments of Richard Hudon to vice
president sales – Canada and Jeff Woodward to director – government
sales.
Tile of Spain branded manufacturer the TAU Ceràmica is opening
their second corporate showroom and retail space in Park Long Court
located in Chantilly, VA.
This year's Frederick Kiesler Prize for Architecture and the Arts
goes to the Japanese Architect Toyo Ito. Andreas Mailath-Pokorny,
Vienna's City Councillor for Culture and Science, presents the
award on 16th October, 2008, at 11 p.m, at the Senate Chamber of
the City Hall Vienna.
Daniel Jacoby, AIA, LEED, is now FXFOWLE'S interiors studio design
director.
