The Applied Coatings Group, a manufacturer of decorative glass
products utilizing dichroic thin film technology to manage color,
has entered into a new wholesale distribution partnership with
Natural Stone Specialist in Carmel, Indiana. Natural Stone
Specialist will now market and distribute the Modono Glass Tile
Collection from its 5,000-sq.-ft. showroom to architects,
specifiers, designers, and homeowners in greater
Indianapolis.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued a patent
to Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co. for their bamboo office chairmat.
Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co. has been manufacturing and selling
their bamboo office chairmat collection for several years and the
collection has now grown to over 20 different sizes, shapes,
thicknesses and finishes with more items to be added soon.
Kevin Token, PE, LEED AP, has joined BSA LifeStructures as regional
director. Originally from the St. Louis area, Kevin is moving back
to his hometown to serve clients in southern Illinois and the St.
Louis region. Token's wide range of experiences includes
healthcare, university, K-12, retail, commercial, and government
facilities.
Callison announces the most recent participants of its Fellowship
Program. In its sixth year with more than 20 alumni, the program
recognizes young talent who are key contributors to the firm and
who help perpetuate Callison's culture. The program offers them
mentorship and experiences to grow their careers through
professional development opportunities. The one-year Fellowship
appointment begins with Fellows researching and proposing a topic
to committee members. They then have a year to participate in
educational activities unique to their program, research their
topic and present findings to the firm. The 2008 Fellows are:
Jennifer Dalley; Yook Chan; Stefanie Means; Teri Foehl; Bryan Berg
Mark Patterson, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, healthcare studio leader of
SmithGroup's Phoenix office, has received the American College of
Healthcare Architects (ACHA) certification.
HKS, Inc. has named Maria Martinico, CID, IIDA, global practice
leader of commercial interiors. Martinico, located in the
firm's Orange County, Calif. office, is responsible for expanding
HKS's Commercial Interiors group – which completes work in the
corporate, higher education, government, workplace strategy,
hospitality and sports and entertainment sectors. In other news,
Lea Yaest joins HKS, as senior business development manager of
commercial interiors.
