Contact Industries, an architectural molding and millwork component
manufacturer has been accepted as a Registered Provider in the
American Institute of Architects' (AIA) Continuing Education System
(CES). The company's in-person Lunch and Learn offering, titled
"Real Wood Veneer: The Sustainable, High-Quality Product Choice"
has been approved by the AIA Records Office, meaning that
architects who sit in on the hour-long presentation can receive one
AIA CES learning unit, including one unit toward the organization's
Health/Safety/Welfare/Sustainable Design requirements.
The Board of Directors of the EIFS Industry Members Association
(EIMA) has named David A. Johnston as executive director of the
national, non-profit, technical trade association whose members
include manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and applicators
involved in the exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS)
industry.
Bentley Prince Street has announced that all of its standard
broadloom products are certified at the highest Platinum Level with
the new NSF 140-2007 Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard. In
addition, all of Bentley Prince Street's standard carpet tile
products, as well as all broadloom products using the optional
Prestige PlusRC™ backing, are certified at the Gold Level.
Paul Baginski has been named national director of buildings and
general infrastructure, which includes federal services, for the
Americas operation of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), a global
infrastructure, strategic consulting, engineering and
program/construction management organization.

Huntingburg, Indiana, has achieved GREENGUARD certification across
all brands and sku's without restrictions.

that Nigel Gallaher, AIA has joined the firm as principal.
The USGBC has announced that Christopher Pyke, Ph. D. has been
appointed research director.
Bryant Rice has joined international workplace consultancy DEGW as
a senior consultant. Rice, a former president of the AIA's San
Francisco chapter, will concentrate on workplace strategies, change
management, and real estate and portfolio appraisal projects.
