Bolon
Woven Vinyl Flooring
www.bolon.com

This Swedish-based company creates the perfect woven vinyl that is great for use in all projects. It performs like vinyl but looks like an upscale wool woven carpet. Each of its 55 pattern choices, designs, and colors provides a layer of texture and complexity reminiscent of what could only be achieved with a jacquard loom. It can also be used in wet areas, adding another option to our range of solutions.

Roppe
Dimensions Rubber Tile
www.roppe.com

I love this dimensional rubber tile for its versatility and design character. It allows designers to bring both pattern and textural depth into a resilient floor. You can choose among three different lines: Crackle, Random, and Stripe, and multiple colors. By quarter turning the Random or Stripe tile you can achieve a less uniform, monolithic floor to create the visual complexity usually found in carpet flooring.

Expanko
XCR4 Cork Rubber Flooring
www.expanko.com

It is a wonderful new solution when looking for performance flooring with great aesthetic. XCR4 combines the softness and resiliency of recycled rubber tiles and natural properties of cork. The colorful field of rubber is highlighted by small speckles of cork that add richness of texture and depth. The collection is perfect for sports facilities as well as corporate pantries and for any project that wants to achieve LEED points.

Polyflor Ltd.
Polyflor 2000
www.gerbertltd.com

Polyflor not only provides a significant environmental benefit, but it also utilizes a technology that gives us an alternative to PVC-based products. This is a polymer-based product that is recyclable and totally free of chlorine and VOCs. In addition to the product content, Polyflor doesn’t require the typical polishing maintenance procedure, which greatly reduces water and chemical usage and saves a considerable amount on maintenance costs. The product line doesn’t limit you in reference to design creativity; it allows you to achieve the desired design aesthetic, while being cost effective and an innovative environmental choice. It’s a win-win situation.

Forbo
Linoleum
www.forboflooringna.com

Natural linoleum is durable, low maintenance, and made from natural products. The history of linoleum speaks for itself. Made from linseed oil, pine resin, sawdust, cork dust, limestone, natural pigments, and a jute backing, the product has endured for many a century. It’s not only durable, but it also has natural inherent antimicrobial and anti-static properties. I do feel that the environmental impact today will continue to promote and re-educate us all on products like linoleum that once had a negative connotation associated with it. We all know what it provides us as a proven long-standing environmental statement, and it’s revered in the industry today.

ECOsurfaces
www.ECOsurfaces.com

Any product that is 100 percent recyclable is a keeper. The ECOsurfaces product line has been developed around the reuse of millions of rubber tires annually. LEED points are available when using ECOsurfaces and the Web site will provide you with all the information you will need in determining the total contribution. The product line is not limiting in color options and provides a variety of thicknesses and widths, an acoustic advantage, great flexibility, as well as an inherent property that cushions the foot.
