Wibar, a new wine bar from airport food and beverage operator OTG and designed by a team led by David Taglione at New York–based design firm ICRAVE, has made its debut just in time for the busy holiday travel season. The lounge, located in the center of an aisle at New York’s LaGuardia Delta Terminal C, beckons travelers with its massive chandelier made of more than 1,100 custom glass crystals.
The shimmering, jewel-like canopy descends around the bar, which is wrapped in dark ebony wood and features a wall of more than 100 wines selected by Master Sommelier Roger Dagorn. Red accents are used in the signage, seating, and illuminated band that wraps the space. Pouring stations integrated into the feature wall bring the aroma of wine to customers, who place orders via iPads attached to their tables.
