2012 Designer of the Year_01 01_DOY_01_12 MASS Design Group designed the 140-bed hospital in Butaro, Rwanda, which wraps around and is embedded in a hilltop that had been used as a military base.

2012 Designer of the Year_09 09_DOY_01_12 MASS Design Group's installation dubbed Bottle Service, designed to be built from all recycled and recyclable materials, was a finalist at the 2011 MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program.
2012 Designer of the Year_10 10_DOY_01_12 The Girubuntu School opened in summer 2011, in Kigali, Rwanda. MASS designed the nine-classroom school for 300 orphaned children, and is working with the school to ensure a quality curriculum.
