In the renovated galleries of the original museum building, SmithGroupJJR restored Eliel Saarinen’s ceiling coffer and lighting system, replacing the lamping with LEDs.
Panels glide on a track system and hold paintings and drawings. Hanging prominently in the center is Roy Lichtenstein’s “Modular Painting with Four Panels #7” (1970).
