The May 2011: Work It issue of Contract magazine has arrived, featuring today's top trends and strategies in corporate office interior design. The digital version, produced via Nxtbook, coincides with Contract's print publication, which is sent to subscribers nine times per year.
This month features Part I of our annual exhibition preview that gives readers a dose of "NeoCon® Know How" and a look at some of the top new products that will be at NeoCon® in June. Featured projects include: a collegial workspace for Los Angeles' Thornton Tomasetti, designed by Koning Eizenberg; a playful yet purposeful office in Mountain View, Calif., designed for Red Hat by IA Interior Architects; and a new and energetic design for The Moderns’ New York studio.
The issue also has exclusive essays including "Green: Does It Cost More to Build Green?" and "Practice: Gimme Some Slack!: Can design save us from efficiency?", as well as select products from the 2011 Salone Internazionale del Mobile, a product focus on Artek's recently introduced Tapiovaara range of design furniture, and a "Designers Rate" column on task lighting solutions.
