The NewSchool of Architecture and Design (NSAD) announces a new global design education initiative that has been developed in collaboration with two award-winning design and digital arts schools: the Media Design School in New Zealand and Domus Academy in Italy. Both are part of the Laureate International Universities network.
The initiative will be launched on November 13 with keynotes on the theme “How Does Design Change Your World?” from award-winning global design firm IDEO. Speakers include Blaise Bertrand, associate partner and industrial design director who leads the firm’s Palo Alto, California office. There, he oversees multidisciplinary designers, works with European clients, and ensures high-quality, world-class innovation for diverse clients including Hyundai Kia, Medtronic, Nike, Renault, and Samsung. Will Carey, a designer who focuses on combining interaction and industrial design to create provocative and inspiring experiences, will also present. With more than 10 years of experience working for multinational companies such as Motorola, LG, and Panasonic, Carey has developed a keen sense of designing effective communication products for global markets.
The presentation will be held at the NSAD campus in San Diego.
