Furniture Systems: MOZZO Lounge collection: EKO ContractAcknowledging the desire to plug in and communicate in public spaces beyond home, office, or classroom, the MOZZO Lounge collection by EKO Contract includes a range of tech-friendly seating elements, work surfaces, and tables. Designed by Jess Sorel, this flexible collection can be configured into many layouts, allowing designers to define so-called “third spaces,” which can contribute to a stronger sense of community.
The upholstered seating options in the MOZZO collection include one-, two-, and three-seat components with arms, as well as armless benches and mobile ottomans. Optional solid seat backs establish spatial divisions within open plans, and translucent panels can be specified for varying degrees of privacy.
All lounge components are available with embedded power outlets, which include USB ports. Some types of seats can also be outfitted with 360-degree pivoting tablets, which provide convenient surfaces upon which to balance technology used for work or entertainment.
The MOZZO collection includes four types of tables. Low-stow tables, available in three sizes, incorporate shelves for storing personal belongings. Sliding breadboard work shelves are integrated into work tables, which come in four sizes. Placed between seating elements, rectilinear or curved connecting tables allow seats to be arranged to form intimate areas for collaboration. To minimize cord clutter, the hollow legs of work tables in the MOZZO collection allow cords to pass through and plug into floor outlets. The material palette includes wood grain, patterned and solid laminates, as well as many finish options for the legs.
